 Opening a frail care centre has always been a dream of mine, and it's been a labour of love that I've carried with me for many years. Losing my father to cancer in 2007 and my father-in-law in 2019 had a profound impact on me, and it highlighted the need for compassionate, end-of-life care for our elderly loved ones.These experiences solidified my vision to create a safe and nurturing space where seniors can receive the care and support they need in their twilight years. And on April 1, 2026, I'm thrilled to announce the opening of Ret-Ko Care Centre, a tribute to my father, Retief van Wyk, and my father-in-law, Kobus Fourie.
Ret-Ko Care Centre is more than just a facility - it's a haven where our residents will be treated with dignity, respect and kindness. We'll provide personalized care, support and companionship to those who need it most, and I'm honoured to be able to bring this dream to life in honour of my beloved family members.

 Ret-Ko Care Centre offers a frail care centre for the elderly in a safe, peaceful environment with a wide spectrum of care at Prestige Park Retirement Village in Pretoria to cater for the various preferences and needs of our seniors.
Our highly trained nursing staff and health care workers provide healthcare with compassion and dedication.
As a result of personalized and specialized service available beds are limited.
 INCLUDED IN THE MONTHLY FRAIL CARE PACKAGE
 • Registered nurse on site 7 days a week
• Weekly doctors' visits
• 3 Meals per day
• Meals for the family on request
• Registered nurse on call after hours
• 24 hour security
• Medication control
• Weekly healthcare clinic
• Cleaning & laundry service
• Counselling and Ministry
• Arrangement for ambulance services
 HOME BASED CARE
We also provide the following more complicated services by a qualified nurse or staff
 o Administration of intravenous medication
o Collection of specimens (including blood and stool samples)
o Wound care
o Catheter
o Feeding tube (removing of nasogastric feeding tube)
o Nurse visits
o Blood glucose testing
o Ear irrigation
o Injections
o Urine tests
o Taking of vital data
o Counselling Services
The hours necessary will be determined by an assessment
If necessary we also provide a care giver to sleep in at the patient.
 HOME BASED CARE SERVICES
 Our qualified nurses provide the following specialized services at our clients' homes
o TPN feeds
o PEG Feeds
o Stoma / colostomy
 SHORT TERM HOME BASED CARE
 In the event that the regular care givers/family members want to go away for a weekend or holiday, we can also provide care givers for such period necessary for certain hours or as a sleep-in.
 PLEASE NOTE
Three beds will always be available for the residents of Prestige Park as and when required.
